Students wanting to focus on more than one academic discipline may create an individualized major, which allows them to tailor a program to meet their individual interests. Examples of Individualized majors include Russian Studies/Social Sciences, Biology/Chemistry, Rehabilitation/English, Sociology/Foreign Languages, Psychology/Business Communications, Computer Science/Business, and Religion/Women's Studies.
MAJOR REQUIREMENTS
The student receiving this degree earns 128 credits in courses of his or her choice, with the following provisions:
1) The student must combine courses from at least two disciplines.
2) The student must have a faculty advisor from each of the disciplines involved.
3) One or more of the selected disciplines and half of the course credits must be in the arts and sciences.
4) The Arts and Sciences Committee must approve the individualized major.
5) The student is expected to take at least 44 credits after committee approval.
