Bachelor of Arts: Interdisciplinary Studies, concentration in environmental planning and policy

This program combines courses from the disciplines of geography, mathematics, economics, philosophy, life and physical science and the social sciences. Students develop an understanding of planning, policy issues and analytical skills as they relate to the environment. Hands-on experience is gained through field and lab work; the use of GPS, GIS and image analysis software; national and international travel courses; research projects; and the opportunity to present at public forums and to have internships with public agencies or private companies. Students are prepared for careers in the planning profession or for graduate study.
